Make time for hobbies and interest

Make time for hobbies and interests. It can help a lot specially for relaxation and you can also enjoy and it may relieve stress.

Manage your time wisely

Try to manage your time wisely. Say no, where you can, to things that would add more stress to your life.

Keep positive

Keep a positive, realistic attitude. Accept that although you can't control certain things, you're in charge of how you respond. Stand up for yourself in a polite way. Share your feelings, opinions, or beliefs, instead of becoming angry, defensive, or passive.

Organize your life

Organization offers a sense of control and peace of mind, and there’s a number of ways you can improve in this regard. If you’re the kind of person who’s always running around, it can help to make lists so that you remember everything. If you’re the kind of person who feels edgy in their own house, tidy up. Studies have shown the mere sight of clutter can put us on edge.

Sleep

Sleep is the most important natural stress reducer of them all. Too little sleep leaves us cranky, irritable and on edge. Too much sleep can leave us sluggish and depressed. Try to find the right balance that allows you to feel well-rested and ready for the day. Promote better sleep by establishing bedtime rituals that signal to your brain that it’s time to fall asleep, avoid exercise in the three hours before sleep or take a warm bath. Certain foods can also promote sleep, such as carbohydrates, bananas, peanuts, figs, dairy and - of course, a certain holiday favorite.  However, avoid having a large meal close to bedtime, because it may result in indigestion, reflux or heartburn.

Limit Internet and cellphone use

Disconnect. Part of the problem with reducing stress in today’s world is that we are never truly able to shield ourselves from it. By turning away from the Internet and shutting off our cellphones, we can at least block some of the channels from which stress can reach us. Doing this also allows us to live in the moment and appreciate it.

It is particularly important to cut off electronic use before sleep, which can cut down on insomnia-related problems.

Healthy Foods

It’s actually been proven that junk food can make us depressed. Healthy foods like whole grains and protein can improve your mood and give you long-lasting energy to tackle everything that comes your way during the day.

Also, put down that extra cup of coffee. While studies have shown that some coffee during the day can offer health benefits, too much caffeine will make you jittery and anxious, and eventually lead to a crash.

Laughter is the best medicine

There is a saying that “Laughter is the best medicine”. Yes, laugh can be a big help to lessen problems and stressors in life. Laugh makes us feel better. Family, friends and all the other individuals can make us happy and if you have problem, be with them. Many people use this as a practice and It is really working.

Meditation

Meditate because according to experts meditation may help so that you will be able to deal with the problems of everyday life. Be calm and sometimes be on silent. Research suggests that daily meditation may alter the brain’s neural pathways, making you more resilient to stress,” says psychologist Robbie Maller Hartman, PhD, a Chicago health and wellness coach.

Music as a relaxation

Music as a relaxation, sometimes listening to music gives us peace and calmness. It is very popular throughout the year and each of us has different taste of music. We are in modern era where technology reigns and all of us have our own devices and gadgets. Choose music that can inspire you, don’t listen to music that is very loud and rocky. There are a lot of songs that has good melodies and lyrics and choose the best that makes you happy and feel you better.

Physical Activity

Physical activity plays a key role in reducing and preventing the effects of stress. Any Just about form of physical activity can help relieve stress and burn away anger, tension, and frustration. Exercise releases endorphins that boost your mood and make you feel good, and it can also serve as a valuable distraction to your daily worries. Even very small activities can add up over the course of a day. The first step is to get yourself up and moving.

Pick an Activity

Pick an activity you enjoy, so you’re more likely to stick with it. Instead of continuing to focus on your thoughts while you exercise, make a conscious effort to focus on your body and the physical sensations you experience as you’re moving. Adding this mindfulness element to your exercise routine will help you break out of the cycle of negative thoughts that often accompanies overwhelming stress.
